Member of the Month - Mario Kucinski
Mario joined CSC this year on the July foundations group and in being here for just 3 months, has already shown great progress! This is down to Mario’s positive attitude towards training and hard work that he puts in each time he steps foot into the gym.
The coaches couldn’t ask for more from Mario, he shows up consistently, listens to the help from the coaches and doesn’t hold back - pushing himself each WOD. He does well to focus on his technique before loading up too much, which has resulted in seeing him make some great lifts and setting the bar high for himself. 💪
As well as coming in to focus on himself and his progress, Mario throws himself into the CSC community and is a friendly, chatty face to the other members on the class.
Well done Mario, we look forward to seeing what the future brings for you in your training!
January 2022 - In House Comp! 🏆
We’re excited to announce the return of Team CSC competitions, with an in-house comp in January!
The competition will be hosted at the box on Saturday, 29th January! 🗓️
Participants will be seeded through 3 workouts to be completed before the event (more information will be provided in due course). Once seeding is complete, you will be partnered up with another Team CSC member based on their seeding workouts and ability (it could be male/male, male/female, or female/female).
This is done to level out the playing field, while also giving you a chance to meet new members within the box!
Once you’ve signed up, make sure you’re on BoxMate to track your seeding workout and get any additional information. If you’re not yet on BoxMate, see Trace on the front desk! 👋
Entry to the competition is £20 per individual and can be purchased on TeamUp!
Spirit of the Box Nominations 🎉
It’s that time of year again! Time to nominate who you think deserves our ‘Spirit of the Box’ award!
This is a member-nominated award for the Team CSC member who embodies the spirit and values of CSC. Someone who helps you and other members, ‘Learn, Develop and Grow!’
💪 All About Strength 💪
Have you tried out a strength class?
Strength is a fun, structured class in which you will focus on key lifts and explosive movements to develop general fitness, health, and sports specific movement patterns.
Classes are programmed in an upper and lower focused split to develop an individual’s maximum strength, muscle hypertrophy, explosive power, and rate of force development.
Strength is perfect for an individual who enjoys lifting weights but wants a more specialised class format. It is also a great supplementary class to CrossFit, and great for sports athletes who are looking to develop sports specific strength and power to develop overall sports performance and prevent injury.
Strength classes programming will now be visible on BoxMate! You’ll be able to use this information to better plan your training in and outside the box!
