Member of the Month - Naomi Vernon

The coaches would like to award this month’s Member of the Month to Naomi Vernon!

Naomi joined back in September 2021 and has developed in both her technical and strength capabilities. Since Naomi joined us only 8 months ago she has already booked on and attended over 100 classes, only ever missing 1! This alone highlights her hard work and consistency.

Naomi has thrown herself into every aspect at Central Staffs CrossFit from taking part in the strength classes, pushing outside her comfort zone in the WODs and CrossFit classes, and also developing her skills in our Olympic Lifting Classes.

Alongside Naomi’s individual achievements, she endeavours to make every member feel welcome, and displays great commitment to our ethos.

Congratulations and keep it up Naomi 💪

Team CSC Charity Hike 🥾

Our charity hike is back and this year we are walking for Mind!

Our annual charity walk is on the horizon! The walk will take place from Llanberis in North Wales on the 2nd of July.

This year we are walking for Mind, the charity that provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem.

🥾The Hike:

The walk is for all ability levels with a loop styled route with everyone taking part hitting the first and biggest peak at 1065m with 2 smaller optional peaks later in the route.

The route ranges from 17km to 19km depending on whether you choose to do the optional peaks or not.

⛺ Camping and accommodation:

The local campsite where we'd recommend staying is: 'Llys Derwen Caravan and Campsite' (https://www.llysderwen.co.uk). Email or call to book your place for 1-2 nights.

The local area also offers numerous opportunities for Air Bnbs or other rental options if you wish.

We'd recommend booking as soon as you can as it is a popular time in Snowdonia!

📅 Some additional dates:

Friday, 10th June,  18:00 at the box - In-depth information briefing including route options, camping, kit lists, and more

Saturday, 18th June, 12:00 - Training walk on Cannock Chase

The location for the meeting will be - Seven Springs Car Park opposite Little Haywood, please see google maps below:

HERE

The plan is to walk for roughly 2 hours at a steady pace aiming to cover up to 10km.

Please bring appropriate footwear and drinking water. (Dogs are more than welcome).
