Kids & Teens at CSC
Build confidence. Learn skills. Get strong. Have fun.
Our Kids and Teens programmes introduce young people to fitness in a positive, structured and supportive environment. From their first experience of exercise through to teenagers who want to develop their strength, fitness or sporting performance, our sessions are designed specifically around the age, ability and developmental needs of the young people taking part. The goal isn’t simply to make children tired. We want to help them build physical competence, confidence and a positive relationship with exercise that can last a lifetime.
CrossFit Kids, CrossFit Teens, Teens Weightlifting and School Holiday Camps
Young people from their first experience of exercise through to teenagers who want to develop their strength, fitness or sporting performance
CrossFit Kids |
Ages 5–10
CrossFit Kids introduces younger children to movement and fitness through age-appropriate, engaging sessions. Classes develop fundamental physical skills including running, jumping, throwing, lifting, balancing, coordination and body control, combining structured coaching with games and challenges that keep training enjoyable. Children learn how to move well, listen to coaching, work with others and challenge themselves, while having fun along the way.

CrossFit Teens | Ages 11–16
As young people develop, their training can develop with them. CrossFit Teens introduces greater structure and progression while continuing to develop a broad base of physical fitness. Sessions can include strength, conditioning, gymnastics, functional movement and cardiovascular training, appropriately adapted for the age and experience of each participant. Whether they’re already involved in sport or simply want to become fitter, stronger and more confident, our coaches help every teenager work at an appropriate level.
Our dedicated Teens Weightlifting sessions provide specialist coaching in the Snatch and Clean & Jerk, alongside the strength, movement and technical foundations required to perform them well. Sessions are suitable both for teenagers who want weightlifting to complement another sport and those interested in developing further within Olympic Weightlifting itself.
During school holidays, CSC also runs dedicated Kids Camps for children aged 5–15. Our camps combine fitness, games, challenges, skills and team activities to provide an active alternative during the school break. Activities are adapted across the age range so that children can participate appropriately, stay engaged and, most importantly, enjoy being active.
The standard of coaching and care we provide to young people matters. All CSC coaches working with our Kids and Teens programmes are Enhanced DBS cleared and Safeguarding trained, alongside holding the relevant professional coaching qualifications for the sessions they deliver.
Children don't need to already be sporty, strong or confident to take part. Our programmes cater for different abilities and levels of experience, allowing every participant to work at an appropriate level while still being part of the group.
Developing more than fitness
Good youth coaching can develop far more than physical ability. Through training, young people have opportunities to develop confidence, resilience, teamwork, independence and an understanding of what their bodies are capable of. We want young people to associate exercise with achievement, enjoyment and progress, creating foundations that can support both their health and performance as they grow.
