Newsletter - December 2017

With the year coming to a close we wanted to close out the year by announcing our member of the year, remind you of our upcoming in-house competition and see the year out with a quick thank you.

After some tough deliberation, as you have all worked so hard this year, we are please to announce or CSC Member of the Year is non-other than...

Greg has been a member for just over a year at CSC, and his progress has been phenomenal.
Greg would be the first to admit that fitness wasn’t something that he was interested in, but he has really taken to it.
Since becoming a member, he has been consistent and hardworking, he has stuck to the programming and achieved so much.  He struggled with pull-ups but now has multiples and also kipping.
He attends the speciality classes gymnastics and weightlifting every week and is always learning new skills.
For the coaches, the main reason Greg has been a great addition to the box is his positive attitude. Every time he comes to train he has a smile on his face and makes the other members feel welcome. He appreciates all the work the coaches do for him and advice they have given to him, but as coaches, we can only show you the path, it’s the extra work that Greg does that has seen him progress so much.

13th January 2017

A little reminder for our in-house comp on the 13th January 2018. We will be holding an in-house competition for all of our members (oh and we are throwing in some Pizza too). We want to see as many of you take part in this fun event as possible. It will be an accessible competition so it will be open to everyone. This is something we try to do every year to get people together and have a bit of fun. So don't delay, speak to one of the coaches and get your name down for the event. It is going to be a good day and we want as many of you there as possible. any questions please just ask.

The last Friday of every month is our Hero WOD, to book your FREE place go to our teamup page by clicking the button below and get involved.

This Month we dedicate our Hero WOD to
Christopher Davies "DAVO"

Guardsman Davies was killed while taking part in a security patrol in Nahr-e Saraj (North), Helmand province. As he was conducting a partnered operation with the Afghan National Army to the east of Patrol Base Hazrat, Guardsman Davies was hit by small arms fire. Guardsman Davies, aged 22, was born and raised in St Helens, Merseyside. On completion of recruit training, he joined the 1st Battalion Irish Guards in Aldershot in January 2009

As another year draws to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you all, members and friends. You have all made CSC your chosen place to train, achieve, make friends and memories. We have seen members overcome things they didn’t think possible and smash your personal goals. We are sure you can all think of something you’ve achieved at the Box this year that you couldn’t do in 2016 - we are super proud of you all!

We hope you are as eager and ready to keep on achieving in 2018. You guys make the box, and for that, we wanted to say a huge thank you. We would not be the box we are without you, so here is to 2017 and may 2018 be just as successful
